The BU Student Government Department of Academic Affairs pushes initiatives that aim to create a more well-informed student body while also providing the necessary resources for students to thrive

What we do

  • In order to make academic resources more accessible and visible, the Student Government Department of Academic Affairs collects syllabi throughout the school year to give back to students. Students can then view syllabi before registering for classes.

  • Course materials can be expensive. Academic Affairs is constantly collecting course materials to give back to students. If you are in need of goggles, lab coats, textbooks or more, stop by our office (GSU B-43) to pick up some materials by trading in old ones!

  • Launched by one of our staffers David Njuguna, the tech initiative is an online platform for classes, campus life and more. In consolidates the many BU websites into one platform where you can access everything. View the walkthrough down below.

Course Materials Exchange

In Spring of 2026, The Student Government Department of Academic Affairs collected course materials to give back to BU students. You can now go to Student Government Office GSU B-43 and exchange old materials for new ones!

Academic Resources

TerrierLine provides students with a centralized hub for managing their courses and staying connected throughout the semester. Through the platform, students can access class updates, participate in discussions, communicate directly with professors and classmates, view course materials, submit assignments, and stay informed about important deadlines and announcements—all in one convenient location.

Student Life

A central platform for Boston University student organizations and clubs, TerrierCentral allows groups to promote events, share updates, recruit new members, and manage their organizations. Students can use the platform to discover campus activities, explore organizations that match their interests, RSVP for events, and stay connected with opportunities for involvement throughout the university.

Housing

A centralized platform for residential life, the housing portal allows students to stay informed about residence hall events, connect with Resident Assistants (RAs) and residence life staff, receive important housing updates, and access resources that support their on-campus living experience.
