I.M.P.A.C.T. Committee

What We Do

The Intersection of Marginalized Peoples and Community Task Force (IMPACT) Committee serves as an advocate for Boston University undergraduate students whose fixed or irremovable aspects of identity are experiencing marginalization. The committee is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion by amplifying the voices of affected communities and ensuring their concerns are meaningfully represented within Student Government and university decision-making.

IMPACT evaluates the structures through which Student Government and Boston University define and implement DEI policies, while actively collecting and relaying grievances and concerns brought forward by students. In response to these issues, the committee develops thoughtful, actionable solutions and presents them to both the Legislative Branch and university administration, working to drive institutional change and foster a more inclusive campus environment.
