Department of Engagement

The Student Government Department of Engagement is focused on engaging students in Student Government and administrative initiatives, facilitating outreach and creating an open space of conversation for all.

  • Launched in 2025, the Monthly Town Hall initiative brings together the Department of Engagement and university administrative partners each month to foster open dialogue, increase transparency, and strengthen communication between students and campus leadership.

  • The Engagement Department tables biweekly in locagtions across campus to engage students in Student Government events an initiatives. We also gather feedback through these biweekly events.

  • Every spring, The Engagement Department launches a Student Government T-Shirt drop. We work with student talent to best execute this.

  • Working with oncampus organizations is incredibly important to Engagements mission and initiatives. Through events or general conversations we want to make sure organizations know that Student Government is a resource.

Town Halls

    Organizational Funding

    In the debut town hall we chatted with the Director of SLIC Margaret Babson, Allocations Board Chair Cydni Oshiro and Student Government representatives on organizational funding.

    International Student Safety & ICE on campus

    Our department partnered with the Student Government Department of Social Advocacy to welcome Rob Lowe the Chief of BUPD and Jeanne Kelley the Director of the International Students & Scholars to discuss recent federal action and how to best keep our international community safe.

    State of the Student Government

    Student Government hosted a State of the Union style event where students could come and hear about what StuGov was working on. Representatives from Student Government branches came and answered questions from students.

Student Government T-Shirt Launch

Each spring, Student Government's Department of Engagement releases its annual T-Shirt Collection, featuring designs created by talented student artists. This merchandise initiative celebrates student creativity while providing free apparel to undergraduate students across campus.
